Biography

Ron McHenry joined the Boys & Girls Club in 2004 to develop and initiate programming in Kennewick at the Music and Arts Center. In 2008 Ron was promoted to VP of Finance for the organization before moving into his current role as the Executive Director for the Prosser Boys & Girls Club in 2010. Under his leadership, Prosser has grown to 350 members with a waiting list of more than 225. After just one year of operating, the Club is already the recipient of several regional and national awards including the Community Involvement Award from the Association of Washington Cities and being a lead agency in Prosser earning recognition as one of the 100 Best Communities for Young People in America. Ron began his career as a music educator; first in Hermiston, Oregon as an Assistant Band Director and then Walla Walla Valley Academy as Band Director. He continues with his passion for music by directing the Walla Walla Community College Jazz and Concert Bands. Ron is an avid fan of the Tri-City Americans, enjoys traveling to Mexico and whitewater rafting on various Pacific Northwest Rivers. Mr. McHenry also enjoys serving his community as an active Rotarian and Board Member, in addition to being on the Board of The Great Prosser Balloon Rally.
