Greg Falk

President
Greg joined the Boys & Girls Clubs movement and the Tri-Cities community in March of 2004. He brings many years of non-profit experience and leadership with him to our Benton and Franklin County Clubs. Has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. He has served as the Director and President of United Way agencies in Oklahoma City and Central Florida, President of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, Founding President of the Statewide Health Information Network, Executive Director of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana, and CEO of the Blue Ridge Community Health Services Foundation. Youth services have been a priority of Greg’s throughout his career, and he is eager to lead the Boys & Girls Club in serving more Tri-Cities youth. Greg and his wife, Loretta, come to the Tri-Cities most recently from North Carolina, and have 2 children and 3 grandchildren. |
Brandy Fortney

Vice President of Operations / Chief Operating Officer
I have been on staff since August 2002, as the Vice President of Operations I oversee all aspects of operations. I supervise full time staff, manage budgets, and contribute to fundraising efforts as well as staff development and community relations. I help to ensure we are fulfilling our mission everyday to change children’s lives through quality programs, quality facilities and most importantly quality staff. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development and am a certified STARS trainer for the State of Washington. I was accepted and graduated from two elite Leadership programs; Leadership Tri Cities Class XIV and Boys & Girls Clubs Advanced Leadership Program. I also served as a Board member for the Washington Afterschool Association for 3 years. Through all my career endeavors, being a proud mother of two and being blessed by a wonderful husband is the most important accomplishment of my life thus far! If there is any spare time after all of that…I enjoy being active! I like the outdoors, camping, boating, skiing, hiking, running and I love spending time with family and friends . |
Brian Fortney

Vice President of Communications and Resource Development
As the Vice President of Communications and Resource Development, I am responsible for fundraising and marketing communication for the organization. Prior to this I was a Teen Center Director for 8 years, 7 of which were with a military organization in Oklahoma. I have a passion for the Boys & Girls Clubs and love what I do. I am a member of the Kennewick Kiwanis Club and love giving back to my community. I am an outgoing person, father of 3 and love sharing my life with my amazing wife. In my spare time I enjoy golf, boating, camping and most of all making memories with my family and friends. |
Katie Johnson

Vice President of Finance
Katie graduated summa cum laude from the University of Redlands in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Accounting. She went straight to work for a large Seattle public accounting firm and specialized in non-profit accounting, auditing, and taxation. She became a CPA in January 2008 and recently relocated back to the Tri-Cities with her husband Jason and son Jacob after being in Seattle for five years. They are originally from this area, and are happy to be back home after being gone for ten years. She enjoys spending time with my family, waterskiing, reading, and relaxing in her spare time. |
Ron McHenry

Prosser Branch Executive Director
Ron McHenry joined the Boys & Girls Club in 2004 to develop and initiate programming in Kennewick at the Music and Arts Center. In 2008 Ron was promoted to VP of Finance for the organization before moving into his current role as the Executive Director for the Prosser Boys & Girls Club in 2010. Under his leadership, Prosser has grown to 350 members with a waiting list of more than 225. After just one year of operating, the Club is already the recipient of several regional and national awards including the Community Involvement Award from the Association of Washington Cities and being a lead agency in Prosser earning recognition as one of the 100 Best Communities for Young People in America. Ron began his career as a music educator; first in Hermiston, Oregon as an Assistant Band Director and then Walla Walla Valley Academy as Band Director. He continues with his passion for music by directing the Walla Walla Community College Jazz and Concert Bands. Ron is an avid fan of the Tri-City Americans, enjoys traveling to Mexico and whitewater rafting on various Pacific Northwest Rivers. Mr. McHenry also enjoys serving his community as an active Rotarian and Board Member, in addition to being on the Board of The Great Prosser Balloon Rally. |
Chandra Burns

Director of Program Services
Chandra graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Early Childhood Education. She has worked in the childcare field for over 10 years with ages ranging from infant to 12 years old. Chandra taught second grade and has been with the Boys & Girls Club for over 5 years. Her and her husband keep very busy with their 5 year old daughter and 2 year old son. When she's not enjoying time with her family she also loves spending time with her friends, scrapbooking, reading and playing games. |
Christopher Cree

Music & Arts Center Branch Director
Christopher Cree joined the Boys & Girls Club in 2009 as the Director of the Music & Arts Center (MAC) in Kennewick, WA. At the club Christopher teaches a variety of music and technology courses as well as managing the staff and facility. Christopher is very active in the Tri-Cities community as an arts leader and music educator. He is the principal percussionist of the Mid-Columbia Symphony and is currently serving as the Chair of the Education and Outreach Committee for the Mid-Columbia Symphony Board of Directors. Christopher teaches private music lessons from his home and teaches percussion students at Southridge High School, Columbia Basin College, and Walla Walla University. After graduating from Pasco High School in 1999, Christopher earned a B.A. in Music Performance from Eastern Washington University. In 2005 Christopher earned a Master's Degree in Music Performance from the Univerity of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and continued coursework towards a Doctorate in Musical Arts. In 2008 Christopher completed a research project in Pelotas, Brazil, in which he studied the music and culture of the escola de samba General Telles. Christopher is currently writing his dissertation on Brazilian Music and is incorporating findings from his research in music and diversity programming at the Boys & Girls Club. |
Michael Fiander

Mark Twain Coordinator
My Name is Michael Fiander Jr. This is my sixth year working for the Boys and Girls Club. I began working for the Club in 2006 and have held many positions including: YDP, Assistant Director, and Club Care Coordinator. I love every minute of my time at the club and enjoy interacting with all of the members and watching them grow! I currently have a BA in History from Washington State University and will soon complete my Masters in Teaching through Heritage University. In July I was blessed with the birth of my first child, and it has been the most wonderful journey a father can ask for. I love to do outdoor activities including mountain biking, snowboarding, and my all time favorite FISHING!! If I’m not at the club or doing homework chances are I am fishing. |

Brighter Horizons Director
Tina has worked at Boys and Girls Club since July 2004 and loves every minute of it. She has had a broad range of opportunities to impact the needs of children from 1 month through high school seniors. She has been married for 18 years and has two amazing daughters. Working at Boys and Girls Club has been a blessing to her. Most people would think that she has made an impact on many lives. While that may be true, she feels that the children, teens and staff has made such an amazing impact on her life! She loves her job and has FUN everyday! |
Jerrica Kanehl

Ruth Livingston Club Care Coordinator
Jerrica began her career in June 2004 when she was first hired as a Youth Development Professional for Summer Camp. Since then she has had various duties including coordination of the Ready! for Kindergarten childcare program for the Kennewick School District and serving as a Club Care Coordinator first at Finley Elementary before becoming a full-time employee and growing a strong Boys & Girls Club program at Ruth Livingston Elementary School. There she has developed a leading Torch Club program providing her members with opportunities for community service, and in 2009 her members took home several first place awards at the State of Washington Techathalon. Jerrica is STARS certified and continues her education in the youth development and childcare field. She has two children that keep her busy and together they like to go on weekend trips, find new desserts to try and spending time outdoors. |
