The 9th Annual Eerkes Memorial Golf Classic for Kids is happening on August 13-14, 2010.

Laura Eerkes was involved with Young Life as a teenager, and always had a heart and interest in children. Her outgoing nature and community spirit is what family and friends fondly remember about her, and why many guests rearrange their schedules to attend and support this event year after year.

The turnout and outpouring of support was incredible. Sponsors such as Dade Moeller & Associates, Lockheed Martin, LeMaster & Daniels, Clearwater Dental, Lampson International and Key Bank have provided significant financial contributions.

The two benefiting organizations serve kids from 3-18 years old, and the hundreds of thousands raised through the auction and golf tournament have been instrumental in providing scholarships youth to attend camps, as well as investing in programs that teach kids about careers, money management and life skills.

This continues to be a catalyst for changing lives! The event raised more than $144,000 for the Boys & Girls Club and Young Life locally.
