Club Mentor

Club Mentor pairs a Boys & Girls Club member with a positive adult role model in one of our 12 sites.  The program is designed to help foster self-confidence in children and promote a fun, safe environment where mentors and mentees can develop a positive relationship in a one-on-one or group setting.

Who are the children?

85% of our members at the Main Branch and Teen Center come from single-parent homes.

  • Many live in foster care
  • Have no grandparents actively involved
  • Have a need to interact with supportive adults willing to share their knowledge and life experiences
  • Need someone who can help them see the possibilities in their future
  • 58% of our members qualify for state aid at the Main Branch and at the Teen Center the number exceeds 90%
